I’m a fan of this new creator economy, but I’ve always struggled with it from a business model perspective. I’ve always preferred the (related) expert industry.

Why?

Well, I like clarity, and the expert business model is clear. You have an expertise and you create offers around that expertise. Consulting, courses, coaching, services, books, etc.

Selling products as an expert just makes more sense to me.

But the creator business model? It’s murkier.

Consider this no matter what industry you’re in. Can you easily explain what you do? Or is it murky? If it’s murky, it might be time for a perspective shift.
