Are they reviewing the same mall?

Ever feel like you and a friend can look at the exact same thing, but see something totally different?

Here’s an example…

In my 20’s, I moved to a new city and needed to buy some clothes. I was checking out the Google reviews for a nearby mall.

What the heck? Which is it? A huge mall or a cute little mall?

Both.

It depends on the person’s perspective. For some, the mall is small. For others — maybe because they moved from a small town — it’s huge.

Always take your customer’s perspective into account when writing copy. Put yourself in their shoes. If you don’t adjust your messaging to their point-of-view, it’ll confuse the heck out of them. And confused shoppers never buy.
